Résumé

The article introduces the author’s new etymological findings in the field of East Semitic (Akkadian and Eblaite) etymology and comparative philology. Special attention is paid to the data from living Semitic languages which are comparatively seldom taken into consideration in the traditional Assyriological scholarship. Full advantage is taken of the newest discoveries in the domain of Eblaite philology and text interpretation.
