This article discusses 23 words that have hitherto not been included in the Akkadian dictionaries. The lexical list Ugumu yields 3 new body part terms; lexical texts from Old Babylonian Sippar and Middle Babylonian Emar offer 19 new types of birds. Finally, a discussion of ḫabazinnu, “green spelt”, provides corrections to the existing dictionaries.
