Abstract

The present study proposes an analysis of diplomacy in the Amarna Era and the representation of non-Egyptians in Nilotic art. For that, the research was carried out based on the Digital Humanities, focusing on Social Network Analysis, in contrast to the interpretation of images in Egyptian art and the messages of the Amarna Letters. This article aims to assess how contact with the outside was represented in the domestic sphere and how diplomacy worked in this context. It was possible to perceive that, despite being essentially different, both connections with the external world could coexist without breaking the peace, especially because of the systematization and autonomy of diplomacy and the ambiguity of the concepts.
