Hacia la formación del estado en el Éufrates turco: : el caso de los comienzos del  Bronce Antiguo en la comarca de Biredyik-Karkemish

Resumen

El período de la Expansión Uruk a finales del IV milenio a.C., se conecta habitualmente con la aparición de las primeras sociedades estatales del sur de Mesopotamia. En la zona de Biredyik-Karkemish, en el este de Turquía, al borde del Éufrates Medio (norte de Mesopotamia), se han investigado diversos lugares arqueológicos, que presentan las fases inmediatas al final de la expansión de la cultura Uruk, así como su epílogo. Centramos este estudio en el yacimiento de Surtepe, un asentamiento de 8 ha, donde hemos documentado esa fase, y comienzos del Bronce Antiguo 1, al igual que en Tilbes Höyük y en Meteler/Tilvez Höyük.
