Resumen

Durante décadas, Israel ha utilizado la detención arbitraria de menores como táctica de represión de la población palestina y su implementación se recrudece junto con las tensiones políticas. El proceso de arresto, detención y enjuiciamiento al que miles de menores palestinos han sido sometidos durante décadas es una cadena bien documentada de violaciones al derecho Internacional humanitario y al derecho internacional de los derechos humanos.

Este artículo destaca las inconsistencias entre los mecanismos internacionales creados para proteger a las infancias y la realidad de los menores palestinos detenidos por Israel.

A través de testimonios de menores, sus familiares, abogados y defensores de derechos humanos se recrea el patrón de las detenciones arbitrarias, así como del apartheid jurídico al que son sometidas las infancias palestinas al ser enjuicidas y encarceladas por las cortes militares israelíes.
